Don’t take a peep!

Don’t take a peep!

Ages 3-5

Sometimes cheating in a game with friends can cause serious problems! Johnny learnt a valuable lesson when he not only cheated but also lied.

One very cold winter’s morning all the kids of Uncle John and Aunty Lynn were dressing for school. Their school uniforms are neatly placed on their beds and they keep on chatting away. There are six kids who must be dressed. What a busy household!

Mommy Lynn keeps running from one room to the other to make sure everybody is ready in time. The three little boys are very lively and are playing more than working together to get ready. Johnny is pulling Vian’s tie and Carl is pinching Johnny. In this way time flies by! The room is in a mess and every five minutes Daddy comes to scold them!

The little girls, on the other hand, are quietly sitting on their beds. They have dressed a long time ago and are chatting about what the day is going to bring them. They packed their bags and their room has already been tidied.

Mommy calls them to get to the car to go to school. The little girls immediately run to the car, but the boys are slowly strolling along. Mommy is getting rather upset she yells at the girls who don’t deserve it and the boys laugh and just don’t care!

Today was a terribly wild day for Daddy and Mommy. Daddy had to attend many meetings and Mommy’s manager was in a very bad mood. All the kids are tired, and everyone goes home with different emotions.

Mommy encourages the kids to play outside while there is still daylight. The boys decide to play hide-and-seek. Johnny must seek first. He closes his eyes and counts to twenty while all the others are hiding. He is however dishonest and takes a peep with one eye behind his hand.

Whizz, pow and he quickly blocked all of them. Leah is immediately angry and tearful! “You took a peep! You know that is wrong! I’m not going to play anymore!” Her little sisters soon feel the same.

“I didn’t take a peep!” Johnny lies. His brothers agree with him. The girls are crying and Mommy must be the judge. She lets everyone tell her what happened and then she realizes that Johnny did indeed lie.

“When one enjoys playing one shouldn’t peep! It is wrong and then nobody enjoys playing anymore. Apologize to one another and then quickly get into the bath!”

They all go to bed and Johnny prays for forgiveness for the nasty thing he did today. A wonderful calmness descends upon the whole house and now Daddy and Mommy can relax too.
