Etienne’s hand gets hurt…
This morning the children were full of laughter as they played on the school playground. Etienne slipped from the jungle gym and hurt his hand.
This morning the kids enjoyed playing on the playground at school. They ride on the tricycles, played in the sand and on the swings. Etienne and his friends play a bit rough. They run, fall and roll on the grass.
Miss Elsabé intently watches the friends who enjoy themselves so much here at school. While she is talking to some of the teachers, she suddenly sees a terrible accident happening! Etienne fell from the jungle gym.
She runs as quickly as possible to help him. Blood is streaming from his one hand! Miss Elsabé calls the other teachers to come and help. Miss Elise is the principal and she quickly phones Etienne’s parents.
The skin on his hand is torn which is the reason why it’s bleeding so much. Etienne’s Mom arrives at school and helps to put a bandage around his hand. They first sanitize his hand. They clean it with Dettol and cottonwool and then put the bandage around his hand.
Etienne doesn’t cry anymore, because his hand feels much better and above all his mom is here! His friends’ eyes are big, because they also had a huge fright.
Miss Elsabé explains to them that Etienne will feel much better the following day. She also warns them not to climb up so high on the jungle gym, because one can get hurt.
One must never feel unsafe when one climbs onto something. Rather be careful!
