Deep in the dark forest the fairy princess sits crying. She lost her loving, princess pony, Ruby. Her heart is broken but she tries to hide her tears, because Bromfield, the forest gnome, just jumped from behind the Fever Bush with a big smile.

“O, my gosh, Princess Brooklyn, why are you so sad? It is such a beautiful day. See how beautiful the sun is smiling and listen to the joyous chirping of the birds!”

“Oh, Bromfield, Ruby is lost and I know how scared she is of Turmeric, the shady forest gnome. When we spend time in the forest she always is on the lookout, because she is so afraid. She then neighs with a very small, faint voice! What can I do?”

“Princess, I have a bright idea. Let’s ask the Trumpet Flowers to call her name out loud. They make the most brilliant sound whenever the wind blows. They then can call her name.”

“It sounds too good to be true, Bromfield! Let’s try it!” Immediately her face is more relaxed, and a small little smile appears.

“Ruby! Whoo, whoo, whoo! Ruby! Come here!” the Trumpet Flowers sing in the wind.

Suddenly the Princess hears a faint neigh close to her!

“Ruby! Ruby, here I am! Just follow my voice! Ruby, Ruby, here I am!”

Ruby breaks through the bushes. At first her eyes are wild and angry, but when she sees her beloved Princess, her facial expression completely changes.

“Ruby, how glad I am to see you! Thank you, Bromfield, you are the best possible friend, ever! Thank you, Trumpet Flowers, I don’t know what I would have done without you!”

She jumps onto her beautiful Princess Pony and gallops home. She sings the most joyous song and laughs out loud. All is well when it ends well.
